n order to qualify for a free subdomain, sites must:

1. Already be open or ready to open at time of application.
- No work in progress sites, please. New sites will be required to open within a week of receiving the subforum name. No exceptions. 

2. Must be a game that is open to the public to join. No private only forums.

3. Must check in monthly.
- Sites that fail to check in within the first week of each month will lose their subdomain.
- Must have forum activity within the last month outside of advertising sections.

4. Games must not be focused on sexual content or allow sexually explicit imagery.
- Acceptable sites may allow smut content, but it can not be the primary focus of the game
- Sites that allow sexuality explicit images are not allowed

Games that fail to reply to the activity check will be given the rest of that month as a grace period. If they have not checked in by the next activity check, the subdomain will be removed.

Discord will be a server not meant for chatting. People will be able to join, and if I can make posts go to it from the site with a bot, I will set it up so links to the site get posted when new content is available, but I don't want to police a discord community. I want the majority of people to use the site to communicate, not discord. But I also know discord is important to players, and it might be helpful for them to have a server in common to dm each other. 

And a place were people can advertise, maybe?

Could consider adding a community in the future, but I don't want people to have to go to discord to interact with each other. I want them to chat here.

Here is the deal though, I'm not making all these sub categories as actual hard options. The main category will be the first option and the second option will be a textbox limited to 20 or so characters. This list will be used as a suggestion if someone is not sure what to put.

Maybe I don't spend time in the right places, but I don't see very many all encompassing rp sites. Because of this, I'm not sure if I should continue to put in the time and effort to build one because people aren't interested, or if it is just something people don't wanna take on.

I've always wanted to have a site that brings back the feeling I had roleplaying on neopets. It was a random free for all (I'll have filtering options because we might as well upgrade) and there wasn't always a huge need for a ton of backstory to jump into a thread with strangers. A lot of people have posting anxiety, but there doesn't have to be a full commitment. 

I don't want to replace the focused rp forums, but I think that the setup could be great as a companion to forum sites. Have a wanted ad but not sure if the other person is the right fit? RP a thread on my site, complete with miniprofile options to boot, and see if you vibe before they bother applying. (Repost it on your site if you do, and you can continue it there.)

Basics:
=7No character accounts!
- Players can have multiple player accounts as long as they don't cause problems, but the characters will be handled in a thread-like environment. (Helps with name duplicates.)

- Character posting templates can be selected existing characters when posting, or you can choose to fill out the info manually if you want to play a character without creating a whole sheet or insert an npc type of character into the thread. (Or just change your avatar for just that post to emote.)

- Players can choose to submit their characters to a searchable database if they want others to be able to find them.

=7Character Sheets
- Character sheets don't have to be characters actively played, so you can create sheets as backups, because the muse hit even though you don't have a site for it, so you can link it in discord, etc..

- To start, sheets will have 3 basic templates (default, minimal, and graphic heavy) but there will be ways to add custom sections. (HTML will not be allowed, but css manipulation will.)

- There is no limit on the number of characters you can create. Heck, create five different versions of your favorite character to play them cross genre, if you want.

=7Customized User Settings
- You won't need to wade through a ton of profile options, and you won't see the userCP you are used to. Even the PM system is upgraded to encourage more on-site communication. (There will not be a discord community for this site, and I don't want discord to be the primary way members communicate if I can help it.)

=7Social Networking Aspects
- Post status updates, add friends, block people you don't want to interact with, and maybe even participate in group chat rooms? Not sure if I want to do live chatrooms, but threads are a great way to chat! A lot of us avoid talking to other people about our rp habits, but it could be kind of fun to have a place to talk about it with people that get it in a more sociable way than just discussion forums.

=7New Take on Resource Posting
- A special section will be dedicated to resources exclusive to my site, such as character templates.
- Guests can post as well as members.
- Option to mark a resource that membership is required on another site, so a person can post a screenshot of the template and link to the off-site location of the code, if they want to drive traffic to their site or the place they prefer to keep all their codes.
- Thanks option so members can show thanks without posting.
- No premium resources allowed. (Can link in other areas to sites with premium content, but can't advertise that content directly.) All content in the resources area must be free to use.

Let's talk new threads in the games. These are going to be unique because fuck yea, why not! 

First! Using xthreads to make the first post appear on every page of the thread.

• this lets me add style functionality to the threads that will persist
  
• it also has an option to only show on the new thread post, so the options won't be a bother in the replies
  
• it gives me a chance to create a sort of ambience for the threads that people can utilize for fun off the wall rps
  

Might as well start compiling lists that can be used in the randomizer. Maybe I can give the major genres icons of some sort and clicking the icon themes the randomizer to that genre. Clicking one symbol will mix them all. Make them check boxes? And then the randomizer can include the "xpacs" included? Lawl

This whole concept will only work if I can make different threadlist templates to create different looks. So I'm going to have to design all these looks.

This include threadlist needs and the showthread needs. Hopefully also with a list of options that need to be created in thread creation to pull it off.
